SCHOLARSHIP FOR ARMENIAN MANUSCRIPT RESEARCH

This scholarship is available for individual candidates who are pursuing studies or research in a field of interest to the Foundation which involves access to Armenian manuscripts in any of the following Armenian manuscript depositories: Yerevan, Armenia; Antelias, Lebanon; Jerusalem, Israel; Venice, Italy; Vienna, Austria and Paris, France. The scholarship grant of up to 2000/year is to cover the fees of the travel to the city and country where the manuscript of interest is kept and up to 5-day honorarium for pocket money (50/day).
Application Procedure

Fill out the application form (individual)

A copy of the student’s identification card or the researcher’s ID/passport

Proof of pursuing a research that involves the examination of Armenian manuscripts, by providing either:

faculty recommendation, or
-
a letter explaining the details of the research and its expected outcome, or
-
a letter from one of the depository centers mentioned above indicating the continuation of the candidate of a research at the center which involves access to Armenian manuscripts )

The title with a one page explanation of the research, including the importance of the use of the Armenian manuscripts in the research.

A copy of a roundtrip ticket or flight itinerary
